James "Junior" Edward Spradlin Jr., 64, of Russellville, died Sunday, February 14, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Arkansas Hospice. A son of James, Sr. and Elva Sue (Edwards) Spradlin, he was born November 24, 1956, in England, Arkansas. He married Lisa Marie (Parrish) Spradlin, on July 7, 1984, at Booneville.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents; his paternal grandparents, James & Vesta Spradlin; his maternal grandparents, Samuel & Alta Edwards; and a sister, Janette Spradlin.

Junior was a Live Haul driver with Tyson Foods. His strong work ethic and life passion was seen in how he always made sure his family was taken care of, especially his nine “Grand-Blessings” who held his heart and captured his world. Junior loved all kinds of sports and was a die-hard Oklahoma University (OU) fan, even in Razorback country! He was a big supporter of the Ryan Burgland Memorial Golf Tournament at Roman Nose Golf Course in Watonga, Oklahoma. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing horseshoes & pool.

A large family remains to cherish his love & memory and include his wife of 36 years, Lisa Spradlin; their two sons, Jason Spradlin of Dover, and Benjamen Spradlin (Hope) of Bryant, AR; their two daughters, Amber Ruiz (Leroy) of Russellville, and Caleigh Lenhart (Matthew) of Atkins; nine precious “Grand-Blessings:” Jodi, Alexis, Braxton, Kathryn, Jacob, Anna, Mattaleigh, Easton & Lorelai; two sisters, Margaret Dowell & Charlotte Kemp; a brother, Terry Spradlin; two honorary sons, Ron Sanders & Carl Hainbecher; and many other relatives & friends.

A private family service is planned for Tuesday, February 23, 2021 in Humphrey Funeral Chapel, and live-streamed for friends & colleagues. A come-and-go viewing will be provided at the funeral home on Monday, February 22, 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service and the J.
