Janice Alyne Glass

Janice Alyne Glass, 68 of Mountain View, OK passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Maple Lawn Manor in Hydro, Oklahoma. She was born on July 30, 1954, to Carl and Edna Sanders in Okarche, OK.

Janice loved living in Mountain View. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She would tell stories about falling asleep during services. She also loved the Mountain View Fair and would go on for hours about how great they were.

Janice loved to cook and enjoyed looking through cookbooks for ideas. She made the best ham & beans, pickled squash, and okra. Both Jan & Joes sons love to fish and hunt so when they brought game home, she cooked it. She would make chocolate no bake cookies every day so that Joe could have his sweets.

Janice married the love of her life, Joseph Lynn Glass, on June 8, 1973.. Just two weeks before Janice turned 47 she had a massive stroke and was given a life expectancy of 5 years but was blessed with 20 plus more years. Together they shared a true love story life.

Janice is survived by her husband Joe of Maple Lawn Manor; son, Jeremy Glass and wife Jennifer of Sayre, OK; grandchildren: Ethan, Kelly, Sara Glass; sister, Denise Fuller of Geary; brother, Tom Sanders and wife Melissa of Brunswick, Georgia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mildred Sanders; Joes parents, L.E. and Thelma Glass; son, Jerrid Glass, sister, Carla Burns; brother-in-laws, Charles Glass, Charles Fuller Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2022: Mountain View CemeteryMountain View, Oklahoma Visitation: 1:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2022: 9:00 a.m. ~ 8:00 p.m., Monday, November28,2022.
