In Loving Memory... Larry Eugene Bernhardt

Larry Eugene Bernhardt was born February 27, 1938, on a homestead in Watonga, Oklahoma, to William and Emma Bernhardt, and passed away December 31, 2023, at the age of 85.

He was a resident of the Watonga community all his life, where he was a great home and commercial builder, as well as a farmer and rancher.

He bought B&W Ready Mix in 1977, where he made a successful business due to his hard work, with his wife right beside him. His son, Alan, has been running the business now for many years.

Larry married Jaquita Scott on March 22, 1959; they had been married almost 65 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved daughter, Cindy Kay (Bernhardt) Noegel, one great grandchild Noah Kennedy, two sisters, Darlene Till and Emmalene Kopf, as well as one brother, Richard Bernhardt.

He is survived by his wife Jaquita, of the home in Watonga; son, Alan Bernhardt and wife Jonna; grandchildren, Chelsea Kennedy and husband Heath, Tyler Bernhardt and wife Bailey; great grandchildren, Trace, Hadyn, and Blair Kennedy, and Harrison Bernhardt; one sister, Donna Davis, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Larry will be held Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Watonga, with Pastor Orval Peters officiating. The burial will immediately follow, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, with Wilkinson Mortuary handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church or the Watonga Senior Citizen Center.
