Carroll Forrest Thompson was born February 23, 1935 to Carroll Thomas and Thelma Louise (Dean) Thompson south of Geary, OK. He passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at his home in El Reno, OK at the age of 86. Forrest graduated from Geary High School in 1953. He was united in marriage to Barbara Ruth Greear June 20, 1956 in Kingfisher, OK and she preceded him in death April 9, 2015 in Oklahoma City. They lived in Sayre, Little Rock, AR, Nebraska, in Okeene for 20 years, and in 1978 they moved to El Reno. When Denise was about 10 years old, he restored a 1947 Porterfield Airplane and flew it for 3 years and later sold it but has kept up with the plane’s whereabouts. Forrest worked for the Rock Island, Missouri Katy, and Union Pacific Railroads. He and Barbara were member so the Roaming Buffaloes RV Group and members of the First Christian Church in El Reno. He was a member of the Telegraph Operators Club and would go to schools and the El Reno Museum and demonstrate. Forrest enjoyed going to Airshows and Tractor Shows. He was preceded in death by his parents,

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carroll and Thelma Thompson, wife Barbara Thompson, son, Dennis Thompson, two brothers, Jim and Doug Thompson, and sister-in-law, Betty Woodruff.

Survivors include, one daughter, Denise Harris and her husband Darin of Yukon; four grandchildren, David Thompson and his wife Auburn of Oklahoma City, Ryan Pata and his wife Deanna of Mustang, Christopher Harris and his wife Kelly and Kevin Harris and his wife Becks all of Yukon; four great grandchildren, Derek, James, and Gabriella Harris, and Oliver Pata; two sisters-in-law, Beverly Thompson of Bells, TX and Jackie Thompson of Johnson City, TN; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to First Christian Church, 400 S. Barker, El Reno, OK 73036
