Thomas Lane Barnes was born August 21, 1964 at Watonga, OK to Dick Lewis and Barbara Belle (Clark) and passed away March 22, 2020 at the age of 55 years 7 months and 1 day.

Tommy was a resident of the Watonga and Weatherford communities for all of his life where he working as a farmer and as a salesperson for Lock Supply. He attended Watonga public schools first through twelfth grade and graduated there in 1982. He was also a member of the First Christian Church in Weatherford, where he was baptized by Doyle Warren. Tommy enjoyed spending time with family, riding motorcycles, hunting, fishing, collecting guns and golfing.

He is proceeded in death by his mother and father, Barbara and Dick Barnes; grandparents: Thomas Barnes & Mozell Ramey Barnes Gorman and Milton & Eula (Humphrey) Clark; and special daughter Kelly Dawn Brewer Barnes.

He is survived by one daughter; Katelyn Dawn Pratt of Shattuck, OK, two brothers; Matt Gorman of OKC, OK and Mike Gorman of Watonga, OK. Special friends; Lonnie Stewart of Weatherford, OK and Shawn Stewart of Yukon, OK. Aunts; Freda Edsall and husband Dwayne of Watonga; Nelda Clark of Fay, OK; Joyce Pryor and her husband Edward of Hennessy, OK; Linda Hazel and husband Earl of Hennessy, OK; Phyllis Hinckley and husband Russel of Edmond, OK; and Judy Hazel and husband Wayne of Anthony, KS; as well as many other cousins and friends.

Memorial services for Tommy Barnes will be held at a later date, in Watonga, Oklahoma. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of one’s choice in Thomas Barnes’ name.
