Michael Shelton McCoy

1978~2022 In Loving Memory...

Michael Shelton McCoy, age 44, passed away on December 23, 2022 at his home in Lubbock, TX. Michael was born on February 8, 1978 in Dumas, TX to Roy and Beth McCoy.

Michael graduated from Miles High School in Miles, TX in 1996. After high school, Michael earned a Business Administration Degree at Oklahoma State University. Michael spent most of his adult life working as an electrician. At the time of his death, he was working towards an Associates Degree in Drafting. Michael was a loyal OSU Cowboy football fan, and proud to be a Native Texan.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, Roy McCoy and grandfathers, Ples Shelton McCoy and Bill Gene Miner.

Michael is survived in death by daughter Jaelynn Mays, grandson Preston Cornwall, mother Beth Massey and stepfather John Massey, stepmother Debbie McCoy, grandmothers Edith McCoy and Joyce Miner, siblings Keri Pierce (husband Bryan), Sara Cooley (husband Cameron), stepbrother Collin Howard (wife Megan), stepsister Jordon Moore (husband Brandon) stepsister Kimberly Jenkins, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A memorial service will be held for Michael at Agape Funeral Home in Lubbock, TX on January 3, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Michael will be laid to rest with family in Green Lawn Cemetery in Checotah, OK on January 7, 2022.
