Mya Michelle Shires Crothers, 55, of Hinton, Oklahoma, was born on April 12, 1967, in Watonga, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of Jack A. and Patsy Imogene (Doss) Shires.

She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, June 10, 2022, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, with one of her childhood best friends by her side.

Mya attended Watonga Public School from kindergarten to graduation in 1985.

Mya married Steve Coon in 1996. From that union, she was blessed to receive a stepdaughter, Jamie.

Mya enjoyed taking care of her precious dog, Ellie, who she called her pride and joy. But Mya will be remembered most for her fiery spirit and for her love of driving around the countryside, listening to loud rock and roll.

Cherishing her memory is husband, Barney Crothers of Hinton, OK. A daughter, Jamie Logan and husband Brian, and two grandsons, Evan and Brian, of Winfield, KS. One brother, Randy Neely of Ponca City, OK, one nephew, Michael Neely and wife Ashley, of Oklahoma City, and two great-nephews, Jacob and Taylor of Moore, OK. One aunt, Sharon Cook and two cousins, Stacy Cook McLaughlin, and Terry Cook. Three Chosen-Sisters: Janice Durant, her children, Joel and Lindsey Durant (Mya’s Twins) and MaKensey Robedeaux, all of Lawton, OK., Ronda Driever and husband Kenny, of Watonga, OK, and Wendy Rogers and her children, her son, Rocky Rogers, of Oklahoma City, and her daughter, Shayna Ernst, of Weatherford, OK.

Mya is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Patsy Shires, who we will be returning her to, along with her beloved dog, Ellie.
