Norma Jean McGinn was born December 1, 1937 at Okeene Hospital in Okeene, OK to Cecil Lee Wolfe and Mildred Margaret (Rogers) Wolfe. She was raised in their home on a farm outside of Homestead. Norma was active in 4- H, played girls basketball and was in several school plays. She departed this life on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Okeene, OK.

Norma was married to Murray Eugene Haigler in December of 1953, and to this union was born; Murray Randal Haigler, Gloria Jean Haigler-Starr, Marrion Ray Haigler and Gayle Dean Haigler. Murray died in a tractor accident in 1959. Norma married Philip Edward McGinn in 1960 making their home in Arvada, Colorado. To this union was born; Scott Edward McGinn and James Lee McGinn.

She was baptized into Christ on Easter Sunday in 1968 and was active in Arvada Christian Church as, nursery attendant, Sunday School class leader, Women’s group leader, youth group leader/sponsor, and whatever else was needed. She was a den leader for Cub Scouts, Campfire Girls leader, and active in PTA at Campbell Elementary School.

Norma was Queen for a Day, August of 1960. She loved writing, compiled a book of her life for her family, and wrote articles for papers when asked. She loved music and to travel. Driving anywhere in the U.S.A. with her family, was her pleasure. She enjoyed meeting people, camping, playing cards or games, cake decorating and cooking for her family. Norma remained a faithful and loving wife until separated by death.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; son Scott McGinn; grandson Grady Cole Haigler; son-in-law Richard Starr; great granddaughters Rissie Marie & Riley Ann Haigler; brother Roger Wolfe; Survivors include her husband Philip Edward McGinn; sons Murray Randal Haigler and wife Paula, Marrion Ray Haigler and wife Coleen, Gayle Dean Haigler and wife Dawnna, James Lee McGinn and wife Karla; and daughter Gloria Jean Haigler-Starr; daughter-in-law Elizabeth McGinn; grandchildren Murray Randal Haigler, Tucker Ray Haigler, Nicholas Dean Haigler, Chad Geoffrey Harding, Aaron Michael Harding, Travis Ray Haigler, Sandra Lynn Haigler-McPhate, Daniel Graham Haigler, Brandi Dawn Haigler: Levi Donald Haigler, Andrea Marie McGinn-Waldridge, Matthew Scott McGinn, Shawna Renee McGinn, Brittney Lee McGinn-Crase, Emily Grace McGinn-Gordon, Sam Haigler, Morgan Haigler-Moynier, Kris Allison and Tim Allison; 45 great grandchildren, and 6 greatgreat grandchildren; brother Louis Howard Wolfe ; and many extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2022 at the Canton Christian Church with Pastor Michael Grigsby officiating. Interment will follow at Homestead Cemetery under the direction of Pierce Funeral Home, Canton. Memorials may be made to Homestead Cemetery Association, Canton Christian Church or Longdale Community Church with the funeral home serving as custodian at P.O. Box 36, Canton, OK 73724.
