In Loving Memory...

Patrick William Nitzel was born on October 7, 1959, in Watonga, OK to Robert William and Leona Anna May (Biggs) Nitzel. Patrick passed away on April 8, 2023, in Watonga, OK at the age of 63. Patrick grew up in Watonga and graduated from Watonga High School in 1977. He was president of the FFA. He went to Dallas to Diesel Mechanic School, lived in Paul’s Valley, OK for some years before moving back to Watonga to his family’s home place. Patrick married Toni Parker on November 21, 2014, at Red Hill, his family’s homeplace. Patrick began his career as a diesel mechanic for Testco. He then started his lifetime career of 28 years with Hamm & Phillips as a diesel mechanic, dispatcher, salesman, and eventually being assigned yard manager over multiple sites across OK. He retired from the oil and gas industry in 2020 with Bostick. He loved being on his tractor, being outside, yardwork, and tinkering. Patrick was a good storyteller, was funny, always loving with a big heart. He never met a stranger. He enjoyed fishing, shooting, and pulling pranks on people.

Survivors Include: his wife, Toni Nitzel of Watonga, OK, his children, Nathan Nitzel and wife Margaret of Las Vegas, NV, Ciara Kilhoffer and husband Kolby of Elk City, OK, his step-children, Christopher Young of OKC,OK, and Sara Reynolds of Cushing, OK, his grandchildren, Kayslie Kilhoffer, Kambrie Kilhoffer, Owen Nitzel, Harper Nitzel, Braiden Rodriguez, and Jax Reynolds, his brother, Terry Nitzel and wife Harriette of Watonga, OK, his sisters, Shirlene Nitzel and Carlis Pixley of Granbury, TX, and Marianne Jackson and husband Les of Opossum Kingdom, TX, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Leona Nitzel, infant twin brothers, and his sister, Beverly Nitzel.
