1959-2023

In Loving Memory...

Randy Reavess Garrett was born on October 5, 1959, to Gerald R. and Sarah Jane Garrett. He died on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, in Dallas, Texas at the age of 63. Randy graduated from Geary High School and attended OSU completing some college courses, but eventually returned to the farm to help his dad. Randy enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, attending livestock shows, hanging out with friends on the patio, and most of all spending time with his “Muffin”, Valerie.

Randy was a member of Elks Lodge #0743 in El Reno, the Geary First United Methodist Church, the Geary-Hinton Rotary Club, Geary Ag Boosters, and was a Blaine County Fair Board member for 11 years. He was also an active volunteer for both Geary and Canton 4H and FFA Clubs.

Randy owned and operated Garrett Brangus Ranch and was a partner with his son Greyson as a distributor for Sun Glow Feeds.

Survivors include his spouse Valerie Garrett of the home, his children: Neal Garrett and wife Amanda of Geary, OK, Dustin Garrett and girlfriend Brandy of Geary, OK, Daysha Pratt and husband Devin of Geary, OK, Karson Hurford and husband Jeremy of Crescent, OK, Emma Yates and husband Justice of Clayton, New Mexico, Greyson Garrett of Stillwater, OK, Coral Gibbins and husband Trevor of Calumet. OK; Grandchildren: Rowdy and Bailyn Garrett, Dillinger and Randi Lou Garrett, Oakley, Daylee, Derrick Pratt and Maddi Shawnee, Whitney Hurford, Easton and Spencer Gibbins, his mother Sarah Jane Garrett of Geary, OK, sister Janie Herndon of Encinitas, CA, and brother Jerry “BO” Garrett and wife Tiffany of Geary, OK, and his mother-in-law Crickett Kester of Van Buren, MO, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

Randy was preceded in death by his dad, Gerald Garrett and brother-in-law Robert “Chip” Herndon.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Blaine County Livestock Boosters or El Reno Elks Lodge #0743.Memorial Services: Saturday, June 17, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Geary First United Methodist Church, Geary, OK.
