In Loving Memory...

Graveside services for Raymond Byron Waggoner, 90, Enid resident, were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 10, 2023 in the West Mount Pleasant Cemetery, west of Watonga with Pastor Rick Vermillion officiating. Arrangemments are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service. Raymond Byron Waggoner was born to Luther and Sylva Waggoner near Fay, Oklahoma on August 27, 1932. He died in Enid, Oklahoma on July 2, 2023.

Raymond grew up on the Waggoner family farm near Fay. The Waggoners were among the early settlers of Old Oklahoma and the later Cherokee Outlet. Raymond farmed throughout the area in both Dewey and Blaine counties for over sixty years. He was well-known for raising and selling prized watermelons and other produce. He was a kind, dependable and thoughtful man, loved by his family, friends and every casual acquaintance.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents as well as seven brothers and sisters including Marvin Waggoner, Geneva Castleberry, Irma Huffman, Lawrence Waggoner, Luella Snyder, Thelma Clark, and Doyle Waggoner. He is survived by his sister Doris Ramer of Enid and many nephews and nieces.
