Robert Ernest Rinehart was born October 31, 1954, to Dalton Marion Rinehart and Merle Fae (Seitter) Rinehart in Hinton, Oklahoma. He passed away Friday, June 10, 2022, at his home in Geary, Oklahoma, at the age of 67. He was surrounded by his family and friends.

Robert grew up in Geary and lived there all his life. He met his wife Susan Leck when they were just small children, and as the story has been told, they watched love bloom on the bus. After graduating Geary High School in 1973, and Susan in 1974, they married on August 2, 1975, at the Mennonite Church in Geary. They had two daughters, Amy and Sarah. Over the years Robert had many different jobs. There wasn’t much he couldn’t do and you could see the love in his work. He was a man of many trades - a carpenter, farmer and gunsmith, just to name a few. He owned Cedar Hill Gun Shop and Cedar Creek Sporting Clays, where he made many lifelong friends and memories. He also worked for the Mustang Post Office, as a rural letter carrier, for 22 years, retiring after his diagnosis with ALS. He loved his job, his coworkers and his customers. He never met a stranger on the route. Although he did love his postal job, his all-time favorite duty he held out was being called Papa. That is a name he wore with pride. Robert was a wonderful husband, the best dad, and the greatest papa a kid could have. He was also a member of the Church of Christ in Hinton, Oklahoma.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Dalton and Merle Rinehart, a niece, Rebecca Kerr, and his in-laws Bill and Nancy Leck.
