Saturday late afternoon, the Matrons Rook Club met at the Sr. Center to enjoy our monthly senior rook playing. All of a sudden, someone said "oh my goodness, what is that.” We looked out the double doors and saw that it was actually raining!! Since we haven't been blessed with rain for quite a long while we stood there watching it. It did not last over 15 minutes but it was nice while it lasted.

Our next time to have our Sr. Willing Workers Rook Club meet is on Wednesday afternoon and we hope to see some rain. Our two rook clubs meet once a month and we do enjoy the fellowship we share.

Sally Reckard who is a long standing participant and meal delivering volunteer celebrated her 92nd birthday. We wish her a Happy Birthday and hope she has a good year ahead of her.

Thank you to our Home Health individuals who come by to do BP/BS screenings. We appreciate your Service.

On Friday our cook prepared a breakfast casserole loaded with diced ham and sausage, biscuits and gravy, hash browns and pudding. It was a delicious lunch and continues to be one of the favorite meals.

April is almost gone and I still need to get my plants in the ground. The winds we have been having have put me way behind schedule. Maybe this coming week will be better.

Prayers are requested for Joy Strong, Danny Wright, Bob Howard, Terrellm & Carol Jean Coffey, Jami Sisson Boling, Darlene Tedford and Donna Mae McCumber. Until next time be well and stay safe.
