A Lamp to My Feet

I was going through my records the other day and found that the first article I did for this paper was dated October 18, 2018. That means it has been included in this paper for three years now. That hardly seems possible to me. I guess time flies as you get older.

I want to use this time to thank those of you that take the time to read what I have written, even though I rarely receive any feedback. This allows me to continue to preach/teach in this area even though I am no longer the minister for the church of Christ in Watonga. I have many friends that continue to love and support me.

During this Thanksgiving week I want to encourage all of you to count the many blessings God has bestowed upon you and your family. Remember: God is able to cause all things to work together for your good even if you can’t see anything good being possible. For that reason, Paul writes in 1 Thessalonians 5:1618, “ Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” This is why Paul could write in Philippians 4:47, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice. Let your reasonableness be known to everyone. The Lord is at hand; do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! GOD IS GOOD!!!
