A Lamp to My Feet

Today, we are once again looking at the list of seven things the LORD hates found in Proverbs 6:16-19, “There are six things that the LORD hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.”

Now, we come to the 3rd thing that God hates. The shedding of innocent blood is an abomination to our LORD. Folks, ever since 1973, it has been legal in the United States of America to shed innocent blood with the government’s approval and protection. From my research on the internet, there are more than 3,000 abortions daily in the USA. That equals 1,095,000 during the year.

We have been told that these unborn babies are fetuses and not babies until they are wanted by their mothers and born. Our government itself considers the breaking of a bald eagle’s egg the killing of a bald eagle. Folks, it is tragic when people care more about the welfare of animals than they care about the welfare of our unborn children.

I think all of us agree the babies being aborted have done nothing wrong. They have not even begun life outside their mother’s womb. They are totally innocent. I think we need to wake up and put a stop to this shedding of innocent blood.

I have an 8 yr old grandson born out of wedlock. I told my daughter, “One of the worst mistakes you have ever made has become one of the greatest blessings we have ever received.” I am so proud of my daughter that she didn’t choose to have an abortion.
