NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma announced its spring 2021 Honor Roll on Wednesday, June 30, releasing a list that included several Blaine County natives.
In a press release, OU said the Honor Roll is “a distinction given to those who achieve the highest academic standards.”
“The honor roll recognizes undergraduate students in the academic programs based at OU’s Norman campus and at the OU Health Sciences Center,” it said. “For students in Norman campus programs, the spring honor roll also includes grades that may have been earned during summer intersession, which count toward students’ overall grade-point averages for the preceding semester.”
Blaine County students on the Honor Roll included:
• Lauren Predieri, Watonga, Dean’s Honor Roll
• Andrew Base, Geary, Dean’s Honor Roll
• Bailee Lake, Geary, President’s Honor Roll
• Maegann Palacios, Canton, President’s Honor Roll
• Courtney King, Okeene, President’s Honor Roll
In most OU colleges, the President’s Honor Roll was reserved for full-time undergraduates with a grade-point average of 4.0. Students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher were named to the Dean’s Honor Roll, except in the College of Engineering and the College of Earth and Energy, where a 3.0 GPA garnered recognition.
Oklahoma State University released its Honor Roll earlier this summer.
