Well, so far so good at our house. No coronavirus has shown up yet. John goes fishing a lot, so the keeps him away from other people. I stay home, except for the two days I work at the Center. We have some friends that have tested positive, but they live in Texas and we have not seen them in quite some time.

The rain we have gotten has sure been nice, The yards have really greened up and most need mowing already. The fields look so pretty and green and the cows are enjoying it.

Friday was our Birthday Dinner day. We had several birthdays in March but only one person picked up her free meal. Norita Curtin sent someone to pick hers up. Others with March Birthdays were Judy Haight, LaDonna Plummer, Karen Biers, George Ann Bordelon, Pat Pritchett, Mary May, Barbara Bixler and Lewis Green.

We didn’t do the drawing of a name from the box people drop their name in when they purchase a meal. We’ll draw two next month. Maybe by then we’ll be able to all meet at the center again for lunch.

We continue to deliver meals on wheels to designated people. We’re so thankful for those who have volunteered to help us with this program.. This weeks deliverers were Regina Glass and Janet Taylor, Curtis and Brenda Stein, Lewis Green and Jim Thompson, Kelly Logan, representing the Masonic Lodge and WAYNE Maddux and Peggy Franks. God bless you all.

We had one donation to the Center this week from Terri Crawford. Thanks Terri!

We still don’t have a quilt in the frames. No one has been able to come in to put it in. Hopefully we’ll have one soon and all the quilters will be able to work on it. I miss seeing one in the frame.

The cooks have some good meals scheduled for the coming week. They are;

Thursday—Ham and Beans

Friday—Indian Tacos

Monday –Taco Salad

Tuesday—Barbecue chicken

Wednesday—French Chicken

If you would like a meal, give us a call at 623-4511. We’ll fix it for you and meet you at the front door. We appreciate your continued support. Hopefully this will all be over soon and we can all get back to normal. Till then, hang in there!
