Hi Everyone! I hope you’re all doing well. Things kinda quieted down some this week for me. Mae filled in for me one day this week. I really appreciated that. I’m just not springing back like I have before. Of course I’m a little older too.

It’s been a good week at the Center. On Friday we had ten people show up for blood pressure and blood sugar test. The ladies from Angel Home Health always bring a door prize and this months winner was

Peggy Franks. We appreciate them coming from Clinton to do these test for us.

We were glad to get more memberships renewed. They were Peggy Franks, Wayne Maddux and Freda Housner.

We had a few quilters in on Thursday. They were Gene

Matli, Estalene Teply, Jennie Castleberry, and Naida Kerr. They are really making progress on the quilt and will soon be finished. It’ll be pretty when it’s done.

We received a nice donation through Watonga Christian Church in memory of Gracie Major. We miss Gracie.

We had several donations this week. Larry and Naida Kerr gave hand sanitizer. Naomi Anson gave books and Best Choice labels. Terry Pendergraft gave sacks of pop cans. Carol Ridenhour gave Best Choice labels. Gene Matli used some of the fabric from Patsy Davis’ donated fabric and made pot holders. She presented them to the cooks in the kitchen. We really appreciate also these donations and we’re always ready to accept more.

We are badly in need of a part-time cook. Dorothy’s son Steven is helping out til we find someone. Call us if you are interested at 623-4511.

The menu for next week looks good. It is:

Thursday- Goulash

Friday- Fried Chicken

Monday- Chili Dogs and Salad

Tuesday- Tater tot Casserole

Wednesday- Chicken Spaghetti

Thursday- Liver and Onions

Friday- Fish

Sounds good. Call us at 623-4511 before 10 for delivery or up to noon for pick-up.

We want to thank all those wonderful volunteers who delivered Meals on Wheels for us. They were D’von Paulson, Mary Brown, and Karen Dugger, Tracy Walker, Janice Hood and Vernon and Susan Brickman. You guys are such a great help to us. Thank you so much for helping us.

Well, it sounds like things may cool off. It just doesn’t last long enough. We drove over to Glencoe this week and say some beautiful foliage. The trees are really beginning to turn. Get out and take a drive if you can. You’ll be glad you did.

Til next week. Stay safe and well…..
