Hi Everyone! Another week has gone by and we’re still cooped up at home. I know some managed to get out to get their hair done and whatever last Friday. Maybe more can get out this week. Personally, I’m not ready to give up my mask just yet. I still think there is more to come. As long as we can keep providing meals on wheels and take-out meals, I’ll be happy.

This was a good week for the Center. Friday we served over 50 meals. It would have been our Roast Beef Birthday dinner if everyone could have been there. Those that had birthdays in April were Patsy Davis, Bill Ice, Mary Mangold, Paul Pritchett and Teresa Bryan. I hope they were all able to enjoy their birthdays with some family.

Judy Poarch renewed her membership this week.

The weatherman say it’s going to warm up into the upper 80’s this week. I think everyone will be glad to see that. Of course, he also said we’ll be seeing some severe weather later in the week. I pray it will skip us.

Once again, I offer a big Thank You to the folks who gave of their time to deliver our Meals on Wheels this week. They were Janet Taylor, Brenda Stein, Lewis Green and Kelly Logan, Janice Hood and Wayne Maddux and Peggy Franks.

This week the cooks have some really good meals planned. These are always subject to change, but right now the menu will be as follows;

Thursday—Beef Pot Pie

Friday—Indian Tacos

Monday—Taco Salad

Tuesday—Chicken Strips

Wednesday—Roast Pork

I, myself, am looking forward to Friday. Indian Tacos are one of my favorite meals.

If you see anything that appeals to you, give us a call and we’ll have it ready for you when you get there. Anytime between 10:30 and noon. Our number is 623-4511. You don’t have to be a senior citizen to order a meal. We’ll be glad to see you.

I hope you all have a great week, Stay safe, stay well. Later---
