Hi everyone! It’s already been another week. We had some good rain this last week. Sounds like the next week is just going to be hot. Try to stay in where it’s cool. Those that carried the Meals on Wheels last week were Karen Dugger (two days), Teresa Bryan, Linda Ashton, Brenda and Curt Stein, Janice Hood, and Pat Brewer. We really appreciate all of you and thank you for your help. We received a donation from Buford Sinclair toward the cost of repairing our roof. Thank you so much, Buford, for thinking of us and our needs. Gene Matli brough in watermelons, which we all enjoyed. Janice hood and Anita Woodruff both brought in fresh okra. Esther Arnold and Rose Farris brough in fresh dug potatoes they had gotten from Alvin and Anita Woodruff’s garden. Everyone took home fresh okra and potatoes. A big thanks to Alvin, Anita, Esther, Rose, Janice and Gene. Saturday, the 28th, will be music and games again. We’ll meet from 6 to 9. Come on down and join us. Bring a snack of some kind and have some fun. Friday, they 27th will be our birthday dinner, roast beef. After we eat well play bingo and then cards. Come in and help us celebrate birthdays for members born in August. Here’s our menu for the next few days. To have a meal delivered call us before 10. To pick up a meal to go call us before noon!
