SENIOR CENTER NEWS

Hi everyone! It's November already. Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? It'll be here before you know it. Thanksgiving is just around the corner. It's time to start preparing for that big dinner that's over in about 20 minutes.

Just a reminder -- this Sunday, Nov. 7, Daylight Saving Time ends. So set your clocks back one hour Saturday night and enjoy that extra hour of sleep Sunday morning.

Once again we did not have anyone in to quilt on Thursday. Everyone's busy doing other things, I suppose.

Mary Mangold donated Best Choice labels last week. Thank you Mary!

I was told by several people that those of us that did not attend the Sherrill Douglas tribute to Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn shows at the Liberty Theater last week really missed two great shows. I'm sorry I didn't make it.

Those delivering meals for us last week were Vernon Brickman, Janice Hood, Brenda and Curt Stein, Karen Dugger and Sharon Barnes, and Pat Brewer. We sure appreciate all these folks volunteering to help with this program.

Here's our menu for the next few days.

Thursday: Breaded Pork Loin

Friday: Indian Tacos

Monday: Taco Salad

Tuesday: Chicken Casserole

Wednesday: Kiwanis meets

Thursday (Nov. 11): Chicken Strips

Friday (Nov. 12): Fried Chicken

Give us a call before 10 anytime you'd like a meal delivered. Or call us before noon if you'd like to pick up a meal to go. Our number is 623-4511.

We'll be meeting for games and music on the 13th so mark your calendars. And the Masons will be serving pancakes with all the trimmings on the 13th from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. You don't want to miss that.

I hope you all have a great week. It sounds like it's gonna stay cool for a while. So stay warm and stay safe. Til next week...
