Hi Everyone! Hope you have had a good week, stayed safe and still feeling well. I had said I wasn’t going to plant any flowers this Spring, but John wanted to plant some so while he picked out what he wanted, I broke down and picked out a few I liked. They sat in the yard several days but we finally got them all out yesterday. They do look pretty. In fact, I need to get a few more to fill a couple of hanging baskets and a couple of bigger pots. So much for passing on a garden.

I want to remind everyone that we are no longer accepting cans. The price has dropped so much that it is not worth the time and effort to smash them and transport them to a recycling place. We appreciate all you have brought to us in the past though. Bob and Gene Matli took care of this effort for us for many years. Lately it’s been Wayne Maddux and Peggy Franks. We want to thank them all for their help with this.

We are still taking the Best Choice UPC labels, though. They bring in some additional funds with the help of Estalene Teply. She takes care of this project for us. She trims the labels, counts them, packages them and mails them in for us We appreciate all her efforts. We hope to put her back to work leading exercise classes soon. She does a great job and I know we’re all out of shape after sitting at home for the last couple of months. We’ll be sure to get the word out as soon as we decide to start back up.

Thank you to our meals on wheels deliverers this week. They were Regina Glass and Janet Taylor, Brenda Stein, Janice Hood and Peggy Franks and Wayne Maddux. We appreciate all of them giving of their time to help with this project. A lot of people depend on them.

Meals for the following week are as follows;

Thursday—Barbecued Sausage

Friday—Ham and Beans

Monday—Chili and Vegetable Soup

Tuesday—Breaded Chicken Patty

Wednesday—Chicken Fried Steak

Give us a call at 623-4511 and we’ll have your meal ready when you want it. Thank you for all your support. Till next week—stay safe, stay well.
