Hi everybody! I hope you are all well. Hasnt the rain been nice, and the cooler temperatures? I wish there had been more rain, but we’ll take what we ever we can get and be thankful for it.
Last week’s meal deliverers were the same ones; Vernon Brickman, Janice Hood, Brenda and Curt Stein, Sharon Barnes, and Pat Brewer. A big thanks to all of you for your help.
Andy Barrett took donated cans to the recycler station and brought us a check for our part. Thank you Andy for doing this for us. We really appreciate your help.
Patty Clift donated some greeting cards that can be picked up when needed. Thank you, Patty.
Estalene asked me to mention the need for us to be collecting our Best Choice UPC labels. They bring in a little money when we turn them in. Estalene is in charge of that project and she does a good job. The labels have to be trimmed and counted, then mailed in for reimbursement. Thank you Estalene!
The quilters are making progress on the new quilt in the frame. Last week had Naida Kerr, Judy Curtin, Gene Matli, and Estalene Teply all in to work on it Thursday morning.
Shool started last week so be sure to watch out for those kiddos when you are out driving early morning and midafternoons. They dont always watch for us.
This Friday is our monthly roast beef dinner. If you are a member and you had a birthday in August, you’ll get a free lunch on Friday, August 26th. We play bingo after lunch. It’s $0.25 a card to play. The money goes for prizes. Some play cards on that Friday also.
Saturday night, the 27th, we will meet again to play games and listen to music by Wayne and David. We open at 6:00 p.m. Bring a snack of some kind and join in on the fun.
I cant believe August is almost over. Where do the days go?

Here’s another reminder for you: We will be closed Monday, September 5th for Labor Day. Ill remind you again next week.
