Hi everyone! It’s almost Thanksgiving. Have you got the turkey thawed yet? I hope so. I’m not coking a whole turkey this year. John and I both prefer dark meat so I’m cooking a couple of turkey legs. We’ll see how they turn out. We’re having another family get together at the Senior Citizen’s Center. We won’t have as many as last time but we’ll have a good time. Shannon is cooking the turkey, I’m making the dressing. That’s one of my contributions every year and everyone seems to like it.

John and I donated to the center as thanks for the use of their building a few weeks ago. It’s a nice place to meet if you have a large group.

Arlyn and Joy Moon, Jacque and Michael Till and Eloise Espy all donated in memory of Louis Hood. Thanks to all of you.

Estalene Teply and Judy Curtin were both in last week to work on the quilt. They sure could use some help if you’re interested. Of course, we’ll be closed Thursday for Thanksgiving.

You know, after we do all the eating on Thanksgiving and enjoy the leftovers over the weekend, we might all need to check out the exercise classes led by Estalene Teply. They meet at 9 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. There is no charge and it is open to all.

Judy told me she checked with all those who were at the last Saturday night get together. They all wanted to get together on the 25th so we will have games and music and food that night as scheduled. Come and join us for the fun beginning at 6 p.m.

Sharon Barnes delivered meals two days last week. The other days were covered by Brenda and Curt Stein, Janice Hood and Vernon Brickman. Thanks for all of you for giving your time to help with this.

Here is our menu for the next few days. Remember we will be closed for Thanksgiving and the Friday afterward. If you need a meal for the other days, call us at 6234511. If you need a meal delivered call before 10 a.m. and for one to go, call before noon. Our meals are only $7 and include a drink, salad, main dish and dessert.

Thursday and Friday – closed for Thanksgiving Monday – Chili and soup Tuesday – Sausage and sauerkraut Wednesday – Kiwanis meets at noon, we eat at 11 a.m.

Thursday (Nov.30) – Chicken strips Friday – Indian tacos And biscuits on Thursday morning at 8 a.m. Get it to go or eat in.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. Enjoy the time together. Take care of yourselves.‘Til next week…
