Hi Everyone! I hope you are continuing to stay well. So far I am.

How about that rain we got last Friday? We’re glad to get it but do we have to get so much all at once? We had real problems at the Center from some leaks we didn’t know we had. It looks like we’re gonna need some repair work done soon. I love to hear the rain on the roof and to hear the thunder. I’m listening to it now as another thunderstorm comes through. (Sunday evening).

This coming Friday will be our monthly birthday dinner. If you’re a member and have a June birthday, come in Friday for a free lunch. We will not be playing Bingo yet.

Our turn out for exercise has been slowly increasing. We were up to 14 one day. Friday was slow because of the rain. Come in and join us. We have a good time. Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 am. It takes us about an hour.

I think we’ll try having biscuits and gravy again on Thursday, July 2nd. We have jelly if you don’t like gravy, (I cannot imagine). We serve it about 8:30 and it’s a donation thing. Come in and try it. It’s always good! We’ll only do it on Thursdays.

We still don’t have a quilt in the frame. Don’t know when we’ll get one. We’ll let you know when we get one set up.

We had some nice donations come in this past week. One was bottles of Hiland Dairy milk. We also received several large pieces of flannel fabric from Judith O’Neal. We really appreciate receiving these things.

I want to thank those that delivered Meals on Wheels this last week. It was Janet Taylor and Regina Glass, Curt and Brenda Stein, Lewis Green and Janice Hood, 2 days. You all are so appreciated.

We received several memorial donations this week. They were all in memory of Don Teply. They were from Dorothy Jameson, Stan and Terri Crawford, Yvonne Christensen, Howard and Sue Bowen, Lonnie Rickey, Karen Duggar, Volamae Marks, Mike and Jacque Till, John and Sharon Gates, Wayne Maddux and Peggy Franks, and Don and Janet Taylor. We always advise the family when we receive memorial donations.

If you are wanting to order a meal delivered, please call us by 10:00 am. The meals leave the Center between 10:30 and 11:00 am. We start serving lunch around noon. If you are going to be late, call us and let us know and we’ll save a meal for you. However, we’re usually closed up by 1 pm.

Looks like another good week of meals planned. Remember to call us if you want a meal to go so we can have it ready for you. Call us at 623-4511.
