Hi Everyone! Hope you have all had a good week. I’m back with a little bit of news from the Center. We really don’t have a lot going on other than our exercise classes.

People are still not interested in coming in to eat. We have a few that have started to but most are still taking theirs to go. And that’s probably a good thing right now as I’m told we have several in town that tested positive for the corona virus. We don’t need them or any of their contacts bringing it to the Center where we are all in the 65 and over category and highly susceptible. We will have to take extra precautions. One is that masks will be mandatory except while you are eating. We’ll also have to do some extra cleaning after folks leave. We’ll do whatever we need to do to keep it from spreading. I just hope we don’t reach a point where we have to cut back like we had to do earlier. There are a lot of people depending on us for their noon meal.

Friday was our first Birthday dinner for a while. There were three members that received free birthday meals. They were Eloise Espy, Mary Brown and Sharon Gates. We’ll try to do it again next month for those members having July birthdays.

Our exercise group continues to meet with several in attendance each day. We all need it and can tell we missed several weeks of exercising.

Thank you to all who delivered the Meals on Wheels last week. It was Regina Glass and Janet Taylor, Curt and Brenda Stein, Sharon and John Gates, Janice Hood and Peggy Franks and Wayne Maddux. They are all so appreciated.

Margie Smith and Mary May brought in Best Choice UPC labels. Thank you Margie and Mary.

We received several more memorial donations in memory of Don Teply and Patsy Davis from Mae and Jim Thompson, Delores Trumbley and Mary May. Other donations in memory of Patsy Davis were from Margie Smith and John and Sharon Gates.

We plan to try serving biscuits and gravy on Thursday mornings around 8:30. It’s a donation thing. Whatever you feel like giving. If we don’t have enough people coming for it to make it worthwhile, we’ll stop fixing it. Call us if you’d like some to go. We can fix it right up for you. Call us at 623-4511.

The cooks have some good meals planned for the coming week. Call us if you’d like one to go. If you need one delivered, call by 10 am. We only deliver to those that can’t get out to pick it up.

Menu this week;

Thursday—Spaghetti and Meat Sauce

Friday—Indian Tacos

Monday—Taco Salad

Tuesday—Beef Pot Pie

Wednesday-- Chicken Spaghetti

Thursday—Steak Fingers

Remember we eat at 11 am on Wednesday because Kiwanis meets at noon.

I guess that’s about all the news for this week. Take care of yourselves. Stay in, Stay well. Til next week…
