Although my family tree only shows a small amount of Irish blood, that limb is perhaps the most well documented. Some of my ancestors from the old country took part in a rebellion against their English overlords and wound up on the losing side.

I am looking forward to celebrating T.B. Ferguson’s birthday this Friday, March 15 (his birthday is actually Sunday, the 17th) at the Senior Center.

Hi, everyone. It’s been a great week and I hope you’re all doing well.

In February, we focused on Black history month and T.B. Ferguson’s support of that community.

Because ranching was our life and livelihood for many years, both the Red-headed Stranger and I experience disrupted sleep patterns at this time of year. Calving mode is ingrained into our brain stems, so we wake up multiple times per night, getting up to wander around the house and check on things because there are no cows to check.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

People avoid certain things for a variety of reasons. Fear is a significant cause of avoidance. Fear of failure, fear of criticism, or fear of hurt. Difficulty is another reason. It’s much more appealing to take the path of least resistance than to struggle. Lack of time is also used to justify avoidance. An easy way out is to say you're too busy.
