The Watonga baseball team knew it was in for a tough day against Calera, the top team in District 2A-4 this season with an undefeated district record.

The Bi-District Tournament was delayed one day by wet field conditions, but the Eagles finally met the Bulldogs on the field on Friday, April 30, and were swept in the best-of-three series by scores of 9-1 and 10-0

The losses dropped Watonga to 4-25 on the season, according to the OSSAA.

Elsewhere in the county, the Geary Bison already bowed out of the baseball competition a week prior with losses to Oilton and Maysville in District play. Okeene's season also ended at Districts, as the Whippets fell to Lomega and Mountain View-Gotebo.

The Hydro-Eakly Bobcats had designs on a Regional berth as they were able to host their District tournament against Covington-Douglas and Snyder. The Bobcats easily dispatched of the Wildcats in their first game, 12-1, but then dropped game two to Snyder.

The Bobcats were able to eke out a game three victory over Snyder by an 8-7 final score, but then lost the deciding fourth game to the Cyclones, 16-15, to end their season.
