County Runners Represent at State Cross Country

Running in the state cross country meets on Saturday, Oct. 29, Watonga freshman Brayden Cowan placed second in 2A, finishing his race in 16:31. Senior Matt Martin of Geary qualified for the state meet as well, did not place in the top 25. Okeene sophomore Diego Lopez also qualified for state but placed out of the top 25.

Over on the girls’ side, senior Katelyn Penner of Okeene finished her race in 12:37, placing third, while sophomore Reese Coleman of Watonga placed 17th with her time of 13:05.
