Watonga High School senior Tucker Estep has been named as the recipient of the Doris Lewis Cupp Family Memorial Scholarship for 2021. Estep will receive a $3,000 scholarship award to support his studies at Southwestern Oklahoma State University where he plans to study computer science.

At WHS, Estep excelled in a number of athletic and academic programs. In addition to being valedictorian of the senior class, he was selected for membership in the Oklahoma Honor Society and the National Honor Society. He played four years on the Eagle football and basketball teams and was voted best all-around by his classmates.

The Doris Lewis Cupp Family Memorial Scholarship was created by the children of Doris Cupp to honor their mother, a lifelong educator who taught at Watonga High School from 1979-1993. Each of the Cupp children graduated from WHS: Carri (1981), Dondi (1983), Kimbri (1987), Terry (1988), and Kelli and Sean (1991). Each year, the Doris Lewis Cupp Family Memorial Scholarship will recognize one or more graduating seniors who has excelled in a wide-range of academic and extracurricular activities at Watonga High School.
