Positive: we outscored them in 3/4 quarters, and we were runner up in a very tough Minco tournament! I’m proud of what we accomplished; we have lots of great things to build on. Love you girls! At the Minco Bulldog Classic, the Watonga Eagles took a loss the first day, Dec. 8 at the hands of Boone-Apache by a score of 4655.

They bounced back the next day, defeating the host Minco 69-65. The win streak didn’t last long, though and was snapped the next day by Cyril, who defeated the Eagles 47-69.

The Lady Eagles fared much better, starting the tournament out Dec. 9 with a W, stopping Carnegie 72-26. This pushed them into the championship bracket and hopes were high heading into that game.

However, it was not to be, with the Lady Eagles losing to Luther 52-70.

Both the Eagles and the Lady Eagles next play Dec. 16 against Okarche on the road.
