The Watonga Eagles took a loss on the road against Crescent Friday night, bringing the 2022-23 record to 2-3. The score was 15-48.
Hopes are to even that out in front of a homecoming crowd Sept. 30 against the Minco Bulldogs.
Coach Skylar Watson had previously said how proud he was of the team and the job the players do representing the school and the district.
“Our strength is diversity and the kids become like family,” he told the Watonga Lions Club recently.
“They have a chance and a choice every day. They deal with adversity as a life lesson and when they leave (high school) they can be successful.”
