The Eagles Cross Country teams made the long trip to Keifer Oklahoma to qualify for State at their Regional Cross-Country Meet.

It was a cool overcast day but that did not dampen many Eagle runners as they set many personal best times.

The Lady Eagles brought home a lot of hardware as a team and 6 individual Regional medalists.

The top 5 scorers for Watonga finished 1-3-6-9-10 for a total of 39 points making them the OSSAA 2A Regionals Champions.

The Eagles were led by Senior Cy Walters who ran an exception race finishing 3rd overall out of a field of 115.

He and Freshman Rylan Miller both qualified for State.

Rylan Miller 26th – 18:52.57

Korey Brewer 64th – 20:50.84

Next up for the Eagles is the 2020 2A State Cross Country Meet which will be held at Santa Fe High School in Edmond on October 31st.

The Lady Eagles will run at 2:30pm and Eagles at 2:50pm.
