(ABOVE, BELOW) Geary High School cross country athletes competed Oct. 18 at the State Regional Meet, giving their all against tough competition and representing Geary with grit and heart.
A special congratulations goes out to Andrew Bates, who punched his ticket to the State Meet! Andrew not only qualified for state but also set another school record in the process. His dedication and drive have been a huge inspiration to the entire school community.
Andrew will compete on Oct. 25 at the State Cross Country Championships, and we couldn’t be more proud of him and all our Bison runners for their incredible effort this season.
The junior high cross country team competed on Oct. 16 in the JH state run. As a team, they finished sixth in state out of 143 teams competing.
Individual honors go out to Cheston Olsen who finished as the number 5 runner overall, and second in Class A. He also SHATTERED the school record for middle school.
