A Note From Watonga Public Schools:

Watonga Eagle Pride Summer Band

Event Dates:

August 1st-4th, 2022

Summer Band is REQUIRED. Missing one day of summer band is the equivalent of missing 5 days of rehearsal. Our fist marching contest is only six weeks after school starts, so it is incredibly important that we get this practice in before school so that we can be ready for contest and represent our school well!

Our goal for this year is to win Band Sweepstakes. Which means we will have to get a 1 at OSSAA marching band contest and a 1 at OSSAA state contest in the spring.

Students who have PERFECT attendance at summer band will be allowed to get on the bus before those who did not have perfect attendance EVERY time we go somewhere for the entire year. They will also get a pizza party at a later date.

Students who do not attend band camp will be very far behind and might not get a spot in the marching show because it will be equivalent of missing 20 days of rehearsal.

We hope you all have a great summer and can’t wait to see you in the fall!

8am-11am: Rehearsal on the field (Practicing Drill)
