Some students from the middle school and high school Super Smash Bros. teams competed March 11 in another regional qualifier tournament.
All the students played well, but Brandon Contreras (above, left) went completely undefeated and won the whole tournament. This time he received an engraved plaque, courtesy of the Laverne High School STEM program. ‘Brandon from Watonga’ has become a household name in the Smash Bros. sector of Esports in Oklahoma, and the school and the teams are very proud of him.
Brandon qualified for the state tournament several different times and will be representing Watonga at SWOSU on April 1.
