The Watonga Eagle cheer squad (Top) competed Saturday at Stroud in the 2A game day regional competition. By placing 10th, they earned a berth to the state competition.

Along the way, the team stopped at a McDonald’s outside Oklahoma City to eat, where this reporter observed them behaving and representing Watonga in a way that would make any citizen proud.

WES, WMS, and WHS STUCOs (Above, left) met with Watonga City Manager Karrie Little to discuss why we should recycle and what we can do as Eagles to make our town better in recycling.

Did you know in April 2023 we did a city wide clean up the entire month and Watonga received a Community Impact Award? We are 1 in 4 cities in OK who will be recognized at the Cowboy Hall of Fame and possibly winner overall. Regardless of the winner, Watonga, we are doing our part and this is a cool honor!

Be on the lookout Eagles on campus with some recycling projects we are going to expand and improve to do our part!

Brayden Cowan (Above, right) competed Saturday in the Oklahoma Meet of Champions, where he placed fifth. The event showcased the best runners from around the state in competition.
