Watonga Powerlifters Honored with Plaques Despite School Closures

Body

Outstanding lifters for 2020 are Brandon Wiggins, a senior, Kerby Easter, a junior and Andrea Craig, a freshman. In Powerlifting, the top five lifters get a medal. The places are based on their three lift total.

Brandon medaled in all five meets that he went to this year. He was 5th at the Regional meet and was a State qualifier. His best three lifts total was 1010 pounds.

Kerby medaled at four of the five meets we went to this year. He won the Anadarko meet. He got 4th at the Regional meet and was a State qualifier. His best three lifts total was 1145 pounds. Both Brandon and Kerby put in extra time lifting on their own. They lifted on Saturdays throughout the season. They are examples of hard work paying off.

Andrea is in her first year of Powerlifting. She won the Bridge Creek meet and was 10th at State. Her best three lifts total was 660 pounds. She has a bright future in Powerlifting.
