Geary High Holds Events to Raise Cancer Awareness

This week is Pink Out at Geary High School, to raise cancer awareness. Dress up days are set as wear gray for brain cancer or orange for leukemia on Tuesday (no school on Monday) with wear white for lung cancer or teal for cervical and ovarian cancer. Thursday is planned as wear purple for pancreatic cancer or gold for childhood cancer. Friday, of course, is Pink Out Day, signifying the fight against breast cancer.

Geary High School Cross Country News

Geary High School's Cross Country teams traveled to Enid for their final regular season meet om Saturday, October 8. They saved their best for last as they came home with four medals. Matthew Martin placed 7th in the boy’s race, with Rosie Pineda, Haylee Gormley, and Mason Estep medaling in the girls' race. The girls placed 5th overall in the team standings. They will next compete Oct. 22 at regionals as they attempt to qualify for the state meet.

Wildcats Maul Eagles

Watonga took another hit to its pride on the road Friday night against Cashion. The Eagles were trounced by the Wildcats with 40 unanswered points. The final score was Cashion 48, Watonga 8. That brings the season to a dismal 2-5 record with three games left to play.
