Cowan Repeats as State Champ; Rinehart Runner up

Above at left: Brayden Cowan takes the podium as the Class 2A 1600 run state champion. Cowan also was the runner-up in the 800 meter run. At right Josey Rinehart was the state runner-up in the discus.

Chieftains Runner Up Class B

(ABOVE) The Chieftains baseball team finished the 2024 spring season as state runners-up, losing by only one point to Ft. Cobb-Braxton in the Class B championship game. They weren’t the only team vying for statewide honors.

Track Runner Up at Caddo

The Geary Bison boys track team (ABOVE) recently competed at the Caddo County track meet which consists of Caddo County schools and a few other schools. The team received the runner up plaque for the meet. Team members include: Carlos Cardoso, Logan Castleberry, Sergio Pineda, and Jaiden Woods.

Staff Rehires Named

Geary Schools has announced its teacher roster for 2024-25 Rehired middle and high school certified instructors include Kathryn Allen, Danella Buchanan, Traci Caldwell, J.C.

Time to Round Up the Littlest Eagles

This enrollment is for new students only for Pre-K and Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. If your child is currently a Pre-K student with Watonga Public Schools, pre-enrollment packets will be sent home, so you do not need to attend this enrollment night.

Regional Champs Headed to State

(ABOVE) The Chieftains were crowned regional champs for the second time in as many years and are headed to the state playoffs. The first playoff game for Calumet will be held at 6:30 p.m. May 2 at Moore High School against Roff High School.
