State Hits Over 430,000 Cases

Death Toll Nears 5,000

As of April 2, there have been 437,853 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state, up by 2,404 since last reported by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There were 103 deaths since last reported by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. This brings the death toll to 4,952. 10,540 active cases.  422,360 recovered and 25,151 hospitalized.

In Blaine County, according to emergency management officials, there are 30 active cases.

There are 9 cases in Canton; one case in Geary; one in Hitchcock; two cases in Longdale; one case in Okeene and 15 in Watonga. The cases are noted by zip code, so those ill may not live inside the city limits, just in the vicinity.

There are 30,539,759 cases cumulative reported nationally, up 79,029 since the last numbers were released by Johns Hopkins University. There have been 553,136 deaths in the United States, up 1,064 since last report.
