With the opening of the casino this week, Lucky Star is kicking off its opening with a Tribal Night event.

Cheyenne and Arapaho tribe members are invited to an exclusive preview of the brand-new casino on Thursday. A Cheyenne and Arapaho ID will be required for entry.

This preview will take place from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and will include $25 free play for patrons. Door prizes will also be given out every 30 minutes.

The casino officially will open to the public at 10 a.m. on Friday and then operate 24 hours a day from that point.

“This is an important and historical build on behalf of our tribal members. We are committed to providing the best in entertainment to the great people of northwest Oklahoma. Our team will be providing the best in guest services and offering the latest in gaming machine offerings, making Watonga the place to be,” Lucky Star Casino CEO, Charlie Welbourne said. “We would also like to thank the city of Watonga for their assistance and look forward to the many opportunities that lay ahead.”

Lucky Star will begin running regular January promotions on Friday. This includes the chance to earn 10 times the entries into their Ultimate Man Cave Giveaway.

The giveaway will take place the following Saturday. A $3,000 gift card to a furniture store and a $2,000 gift card to Best Buy will be the grand prize.

As of right now, only the casino floor will be open as the hotel portion is slated to open in March.
