According to information from the Blaine County Sheriff's Office, a drug operation July 15 in the Canton-Longdale area resulted in multiple arrests.
A post on social media reads to the effect that an months-long investigation into the sale of methamphetamine in the area resulted in deputies obtaining arrests warrants.
Those warrants resulted in the arrest of six Blaine County residents on charges of distribution of methamphetamine and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.
Those arrested include Justin Brown, Krystal Miller, Michael Gallo, Jason Prouty and Michael Steinbach, who were taken into custody in the early evening hours of July 15 in the Canton and Longdale area.
Another suspect, Edward Gordon, was arrested in Oklahoma City with the assistance of the Oklahoma City Police Department.
Blaine County Sheriff Travis Daugherty wrote, “This investigation is still ongoing, and more arrests are expected. Several more arrests warrants will be issued and we will be actively looking for those individuals.”
Gallo remains in jail charged with distribution of controlled substances and possession with intent to distribute, both felony charges. Brown also remains in jail with four charges of distribution and possession with intent to distribute, also felonies.
Prouty is in jail on charges of distribution, possession with intent to distribute, maintaining a place for keeping or selling controlled substances and conspiracy to commit a felony.
It appears the others arrested in this operation have posted bond. The next court appearance for Gallo, Brown and Prouty is set for July 31.
