The City of Watonga celebrated its 130th birthday on Tuesday, April 19, hosting a party with cookies and refreshments at the new City Hall. City leaders and community members turned out to discuss Watonga history and reminisce about the the town while looking forward to another 130 years to come. Watonga was founded immediately after the land was opened to non-Indian settlement during a land run on April 19, 1892.
