The holiday gift giving season is in full swing and every merchant everywhere is after your dollars. But if you want to keep it local, the annual Holiday Bazaar and Santa’s Village is the place to go.
The event will be held from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. Saturday in the Foley Building at the Blaine County Fairgrounds. It is sponsored by Blaine County Home and Community Education and admission is free.
Besides choosing from among the choicest offerings of local crafters, there are plenty of activities for the youngsters. At 12:30, there will be a Christmas story time., followed by a Christmas craft workshop at 1. The workshop will repeat at 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m. and finally at 2:30 p.m. After the craft workshop, there will be photo ops with the Right Jolly Old Elf himself, as well as Mrs. Claus. Parents should bring their own cameras to capture the happy moments.
In case all that shopping – and there are a myriad of options for thoughtful, handcrafted gifts – wears shoppers out, leaving them hungry and thirsty, the concession stand will be in operation, manned by the members of various Blaine County 4-H clubs. The proceeds of the concessions benefit the clubs.
In addition to selecting holiday gifts for loved ones or even yourself, there will be various organizations on hand to acquaint visitors with opportunities to learn more about the community, donate to good causes, or get involved in making Blaine County an even better place to live.
