On According to a probable cause affidavit filed in Blaine County District Court, John Turtle, 20, was arrested February 2 as a parent or other person willfully or maliciously engaging in child sexual abuse.
A citizen told investigators child pornography had been sent from a location near Watonga in Blaine County. Law enforcement obtained a search warrant and conducted a search of the location. There was a four-year-old child at the location that matched the description of the child in the pornographic images.
Investigators arranged a forensic interview for the child at a care facility in Enid, where she told a specialized investigator that she had been touched on her private parts on multiple occasions by Turtle.
The search warrant confirmed Turtle was in possession of pornographic images of the child, which were confirmed to have been taken in his bedroom.
He was charged with possessing, creating and distributing pornographic images, access of a computer network with unlawful intent and sexual abuse of a child under 12.
At his initial appearance, Turtle plead not guilty to the charges. He remains in Blaine County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.
