WATONGA – Two men are in the Blaine County Jail this week after officials say they discovered methamphetamine in their vehicle during an early-morning traffic stop.
Tracy Hornsby and Clifford Walls are being held on suspicion of trafficking methamphetamine, while Walls could face additional charges.
According to a Facebook post by Blaine County Sheriff Travis Daugherty, the traffic stop occurred early on May 28 on a remote county road. The deputy found “open containers” in the vehicle, Daugherty said.
Upon further inspection, officials discovered approximately 65 grams of meth in the vehicle, as well, and the men were arrested and booked into jail.
Later, deputies obtained a search warrant for Walls’ residence. “The warrant resulted in approximately 137 grams of methamphetamine, two firearms, paraphernalia used in the distribution of methamphetamine and an illegal still used for distilling liquor,” Daugherty wrote.
“Your Blaine County Sheriff’s Office will relentlessly pursue these criminals who distribute this poison within our communities!” he continued. “Thank you all for supporting us!”
