BLAINE COUNTY — The Blaine County 4-H Public Speaking Contest was held January 23, 2022. 4-H Members presented presentations on a wide variety of topics. 4-H members could do a speech, an illustrated speech, a team illustrated presentation or a power point presentation. Clover buds, ages 5-7, had the opportunity to recite the Pledge of Allegiance or the 4- H pledge.
Junior Illustrated Champion went to Emery Fisher, of Okeene 4-H on her presentation about “Butterflies”. Reserve Champion was Cord Cowan, Watonga 4-H, with his presentation of “Cattle Earrings! What’s Up with that?
Keela Cowan, Watonga 4- H was champion with her Junior Power Point Presentation on “Caring for Bottle Calves”.
Intermediate Power Point Presentation Champion went to Brant Cowan on his presentation on “3-D Printers.”
Champion Intermediate Illustrated Presentation on “Food Preservation” was won by Avery Fisher of Okeene 4- H. Reserve Champion was Addison Lovitt of Watonga 4-H with her presentation on “Pianos”.
Champion Team Illustrated Presentation was Kinze Cowan and Caleigh Scheihing of Watonga 4-H. They demonstrated how to make “Golden Punch”.
Cloverbuds participating were: Sage Scheihing of Watonga, Heath Burghardt, Timber Burghardt, Raylee Fisher, Remi Nault and Taylor Robison of Okeene Cloverbuds.
