FAIRVIEW — Major and Blaine Counties OSU Extension is offering a program for parents, grandparents, child care providers and other caregivers titled “Active Parenting” where the following topics will be addressed: being an active parent, cooperation and communication, responsibility and discipline, building courage and self-esteem, understanding and redirecting misbehavior, and active parenting for school success.
“Active Parenting” will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the exhibit building at the Major County Fairgrounds in Fairview on the following Thursdays: October 7, 14, 21, 28.
Dana Baldwin, Extension Educator-Family & Consumer Sciences/4-H Youth Development is the program coordinator. Participants should attend all four session to complete the program, which will consist of group discussions, video presentations, and hands-on-activities.
