HINTON – In September, Shaun Tillman was charged with two counts of first-degree manslaughter and other counts in connection with a fatal crash that killed his partner and her child.

On Monday the Caddo County Sheriff’s Office said Tillman is still outstanding and called on the public for help in locating him.

In a Facebook post, the sheriff’s office said Tillman was “last known to be in the Lookeba/Hinton area” and could still be there.

He is in his late 20s and stands about 6 feet tall and 150 pounds, with blue eyes.

The sheriff’s office asks the public to call 405-247-5700 with information on Tillman’s whereabouts, advising the public not to approach Tillman if spotted.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted online at CaddoCountySheriff.com. “The Caddo County Sheriff’s Office thanks everyone for their help and continued support,” the post says.

The fatal crash for which Tillman is charged occurred in May 2021. It killed 28-year-old Gena Evans and her 6-year-old daughter Raylynn Lyday, and also injured another child.

Tillman was alone in a Dodge pickup when he collided on a hilltop with a Honda Accord driven by Evans and carrying the two girls. According to court records, Tillman was tested at the scene and found to have drugs in his system, including methamphetamine.

While some victims’ family members reportedly support Tillman through the ordeal, others want him arrested and convicted for the crash.

In addition to the manslaughter counts, Tillman faces charges of driving with a canceled, suspended or revoked license; failure to maintain proper insurance; and failure to pay taxes due to the state.
